About The Position

The Registered Nurse Charge, Operating Room is responsible for administering and directing nursing interventions as prescribed by a qualified physician or mid-level practitioner. The role requires effective communication, accurate documentation, and professional conduct consistent with the Nursing Code of Ethics and CHS philosophy of service. The position is a full-time day role working 36 hours per week, Friday through Sunday, from 0630 to 1900, with no call requirement. A relocation stipend may be available to eligible new hires based on mileage.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse licensure (LIC-Registered Nurse).
• Graduate of an approved discipline-specific program.
• One year of relevant work experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial nursing assessments and communicate findings to the assigned physician or mid-level practitioner.
• Assess wound stage and measurements, document care plans, and evaluate patient status in relation to desired outcomes.
• Identify patient care situations requiring intervention.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
• Provide education to patients and/or caregivers.
• Serve as a patient advocate in the delivery and coordination of care.
• Collaborate as needed with other healthcare providers, Wound Care Center Providers, the Program Director, and Medical Director regarding patient needs.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
