About The Position

This is a travel Registered Nurse position in a hospital setting, specifically within the Cardiac Care Unit (CCU) in Boston, MA. The assignment is for 14 weeks, starting on October 5, 2026, with guaranteed hours of 36 per week. The role involves providing direct care to critically ill patients, monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. The position requires flexibility to work 12-hour night shifts, including every-other weekend and holiday coverage.

Requirements

• 2+ years of recent MICU/ICU experience
• Ability to independently read and interpret telemetry rhythm strips
• Telemetry test required on day 1
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Willingness to work 12-hour night shifts, including weekends and holidays

Nice To Haves

• Experience with radial arterial sticks
• CRRT experience
• CCRN certification
• Blood draws experience
• IV skills

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, ongoing care to critically ill patients in the CCU, including those with respiratory failure, sepsis, renal disease, and cardiac events.
• Monitor patient status with continuous telemetry, interpret rhythm strips, and respond to abnormal findings.
• Administer prescribed medications, manage IVs and arterial lines, and assist with advanced therapies as needed (including CRRT when applicable).
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other members of the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Respond to emergencies and participate in code scenarios.
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the medical record.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation and ensure patient safety.
• Deliver care that aligns with unit protocols and best practices.
