About The Position

Sentara Health is hiring an experienced Registered Nurse for the Cardiac Cath Lab at Sentara Careplex Hospital located in Hampton, Virginia. This is a full time, day shift position. This position requires on-call with a 30-minute response time. Up to $15,000 Sign On Bonus Available for Qualified Candidates! Hours Monday – Friday: 7am-3:30pm, along with approximately 15 days of call per month (about every 3rd or 4th weekend). The Registered Nursing (RN) is responsible to perform a competent level of nursing care as demonstrated by the critical thinking model known as the nursing process. The standards of practice (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care- teaching and health promotion and evaluation) along with the standards of professional performance (ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence- based practice /nursing research, quality, evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health) encompass the actions and foundation of professional nursing. The RN possesses clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards as required by specific clinical areas.

Requirements

  • Minimum of ASN or RN Diploma
  • RN licensure
  • BLS within 90 days of hire
  • ACLS within 1 year

Nice To Haves

  • BSN or MSN
  • Previous acute care (ICU, ED, etc) or cath lab experience
  • Experience circulating and monitoring invasive cardiac procedures, endovascular procedures, and interventional radiology procedures
