About The Position

This is a Registered Nurse position in the Cath Lab at Cone Health. The role involves working 4x10 hour shifts, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM. Lates are required a few times per month, and STEMI call is mandatory, approximately one week over a 12-16 week period. This call includes 24-hour shifts on Saturdays and Sundays, with some "half" nights (5:30 PM - 9:00 PM) and some 5:30 PM - 7:00 AM shifts. Nurses must be prepared to arrive and be ready to work within 30 minutes of a STEMI activation. Holidays are required as needed. First-time travelers are accepted. A minimum of 2 years of experience is required. ACLS and BLS certifications are mandatory. Scrub experience is required. Knowledge of specific Cath lab procedures and equipment such as Orbital atherectomy, Rotational atherectomy, IABP, IMPELLA, OTC, ECMO, flow wire, manifold, and sheath pulling is necessary. Proficiency with XPER and EPIC's CUPID is required to monitor cases. Scrubs will be provided.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience required.
  • ACLS certification required.
  • BLS certification required.
  • Scrub experience required.
  • Knowledgeable of Orbital atherectomy, Rotational atherectomy, IABP, IMPELLA, OTC, ECMO, flow wire, manifold, Sheath pulling, and all other Cath lab adjuncts.
  • Proficient with XPER and EPIC's CUPID to monitor cases.
  • Aware of the Pass Fail EKG exam required by all RNs for Cone Health.
  • Flexible with scheduling.
  • Aware of the client's zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences.
  • Able to complete compliance on time.
  • Prepared to arrive and be ready to work within 30 minutes of STEMI activation.

Responsibilities

  • Work 4x10 hour shifts, Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM.
  • Work lates a few times per month.
  • Participate in STEMI call, approximately one week over a 12-16 week period.
  • Respond to STEMI activations within 30 minutes.
  • Work holidays as needed.
  • Perform duties as a Registered Nurse in the Cath Lab.
  • Monitor cases if proficient with XPER and EPIC's CUPID.
  • Utilize knowledge of Orbital atherectomy, Rotational atherectomy, IABP, IMPELLA, OTC, ECMO, flow wire, manifold, Sheath pulling, and other Cath lab adjuncts.
