This is a Registered Nurse position in the Cath Lab, requiring a minimum of 1 year of experience. First-time travelers are accepted. The patient population includes adults to geriatrics. The role involves circulating procedures, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, and procedural sedation administration/monitoring. The unit has 3 rooms with 5 beds and an average daily census of 8-10 patients. Unit systems used include Epic and Pyxis, with SBAR for communication. Scrub color is provided by the facility. The required RTO is a maximum of 7 days. This position requires working every third weekend, and floating within the facility/scope of practice is a possibility, including to a sister campus (Piedmont Eastside South). Call requirements include 10 days per month. Holiday work is expected if one, two, or three major holidays fall within the assignment period, with specific expectations for working two out of three if applicable. Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Years Eve/New Years Day. Full compliance is required to start on time; non-compliance may result in a 2-week delay due to the bi-weekly orientation schedule. Candidates will undergo a clinical screen to determine fit, and if they pass and are within Piedmont guidelines, they will be sent to the manager for a final decision. Clinical screens are conducted on a case-by-case basis. Locals are accepted at the same rate. The number of Non-Billable Orientation (NBO) hours is determined by the contract length.
