About The Position
The IMA Group, a provider of medical and case management services for over 30 years, is seeking experienced Registered Nurse Case Managers to support workers’ compensation cases in the Houston area. This independent contractor role offers flexible scheduling, professional autonomy, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on injured workers' recovery. The position is hybrid, combining local travel with remote documentation, and does not involve bedside nursing, routine weekends, or on-call responsibilities.
Requirements
- Active Texas RN license.
- Minimum 3 years of Workers’ Compensation Field Case Management experience.
- Strong clinical assessment and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a flexible caseload.
- Reliable transportation for local travel throughout Houston and surrounding areas.
- Professional liability insurance or ability to obtain.
Nice To Haves
- CCM, CRRN, or related certifications preferred.
- Bilingual candidates are welcome but not required.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate medical care and treatment plans for injured workers.
- Attend medical appointments and monitor treatment progress.
- Communicate with providers, employers, insurance adjusters, and attorneys.
- Prepare case management reports and documentation.
- Support return-to-work planning and coordinate evaluations as needed.
