About The Position

This role involves delivering exceptional, patient-centered nursing care within the operative suite, ensuring safety and comfort for individuals undergoing complex cardiovascular and invasive procedures. The nurse will manage the overall flow of the operating room by serving as the circulating nurse, closely monitoring patient conditions and communicating updates in real time to protect patient safety. Additionally, the nurse will coordinate the surgical field by executing both scrub and instrument-handling functions with precision, ensuring the surgical team has exactly what they need when they need it. Collaboration with physicians and anesthesia teams to assist with line access and intubation is also a key part of the role. The nurse will prepare and optimize the surgical environment by setting up specialized cardiovascular instruments and advanced equipment, ensuring a sterile, efficient, and ready-to-go operating room.

Requirements

  • Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
