About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) is responsible for assessing the physiological, emotional, and spiritual needs of each patient within their assigned unit area and planning nursing care to meet those needs. The RN ensures that nursing care plans are carried out through their own performance and/or leadership of subordinate personnel. This role involves conducting patient evaluations, documenting patient progress, treatment planning, and discharge functions. Clinicians will float between CVICU, ICU, and Step Down Unit depending on need.

Requirements

• 2 years of current CVICU experience
• Neuro experience
• Vascular experience
• Thoracic experience
• Neurosurgery experience
• ACLS certification
• BLS certification
• NIHSS certification
• COVID vaccination required
• Flu vaccination required

Nice To Haves

• Prior Cerner experience
