About The Position

This Per Diem Registered Nurse position in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) requires night shifts. The role involves maintaining professional nursing standards, implementing and coordinating care for an assigned patient population, and providing leadership and supervision to other healthcare workers as assigned. The nurse must be comfortable with various neonatal care procedures including ventilators, Vapotherm or CPAP, neonatal IVs, lines, TPN, and responding to code blue situations.

Requirements

• 3 years of Level III NICU experience
• Active IL License
• BLS
• NRP
• COVID & FLU vaccination required

Responsibilities

• Maintains the standards of professional nursing
• Implements, coordinates and delivers care to assigned patient population
• Provides leadership and supervision to CNA/SNA, LPN, or other health care workers as assigned
• Must be comfortable with neonatal vents, vapotherm or cpap, neonatal IV, lines, TPN, code blue, etc.
