About The Position
Hartford Hospital is actively hiring Registered Nurses (RN) for our Cardiology units across multiple hours and shifts. Graduate Nurses are welcome and encouraged to apply. Cardiology is an exciting specialty that provides a variety of learning experiences and career opportunities, involving both surgical and medical interventions. No prior cardiac experience is necessary, only a willingness to learn and provide excellent patient care. The team is supportive, offering experienced managers, clinical ladders, and continuing education. Registered Nurses in Cardiology have the opportunity to practice at the top of their license, utilizing research, innovation, and evidence-based practices. A comprehensive Nurse Residency program is offered. Student nurses and recent graduate nurses are welcome and encouraged to apply.
Requirements
- Current Connecticut RN License required prior to start date.
- ASN Required (Must obtain a BSN within 6 years of starting in the RN role).
- BLS certification by the American Heart Association.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
Nice To Haves
- BSN preferred.
- One-year recent Acute Care RN experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide patient care in a Cardiology unit.
- Utilize research, innovation, and evidence-based practices.
- Participate in a comprehensive Nurse Residency program.
