About The Position
This position involves providing direct nursing care and clinical monitoring for cardiac rehabilitation patients during exercise and recovery sessions. Accurate documentation and communication are essential.
Requirements
- IL RN nursing license
- CPR – BLS issued by the American Heart Association
- CPR - ACLS within six months of hire
Nice To Haves
- At least one year of experience as a staff nurse
- Cardiac rehab experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care and clinical monitoring for cardiac rehab patients during exercise and recovery sessions
- Assess patient response to exercise, including vital signs, telemetry rhythms, symptoms, and overall tolerance
- Educate patients on cardiac health, medications, risk factor reduction, diet, and lifestyle modifications
- Collaborate with physicians, exercise physiologists, and interdisciplinary team members to support individualized patient care plans
- Maintain accurate documentation, patient records, and communication related to treatment plans, progress, and patient outcomes
