Registered Nurse (RN) - Part Time - 24 hours per week - Night Shift - Behavioral Health Union Cecil County
About The Position
ChristianaCare, a healthcare organization with 1100 beds between two Magnet® recognized hospitals (Christiana and Wilmington) and the only Level 1 Trauma service on the East Coast corridor between Philadelphia and Baltimore, is seeking a Registered Nurse for their Behavioral Health Nursing team at Union Hospital. This position is part-time, working 24 hours per week on the night shift during the week, with rotation to day shifts on weekends. Weekends and holidays are scheduled per department guidelines. The role requires experience in Behavioral Health (Psych) nursing in an Inpatient or Outpatient setting. Candidates with strong Medical Surgical experience and a passion for behavioral health will also be considered.
Requirements
- Current Maryland RN license or eligibility for Maryland RN license
- BLS required
- Two year med/surg experience in an acute care setting
Nice To Haves
- BSN preferred
- Psychiatric Nursing experience is strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of Crisis Area is strongly preferred.
- Professional Certification in Psychiatric–Mental Health or Medical/Surgical preferred
Responsibilities
- Work 24 hours per week on the night shift during the week with rotation to day shifts on weekends.
- Adhere to weekend and holiday scheduling per department guidelines.
- Provide nursing care in an Inpatient or Outpatient Behavioral Health setting.
- Utilize Medical Surgical experience for patients with a passion for this area.
