Requirements
- Knowledge and experience of nursing care and interventions with psychiatric patients.
- Knowledgeable of the psychotropic medications, potential side effects, and psychiatric diagnoses.
- Ability to direct others in the delivery of services, organize multiple tasks at one time, and problem solve situations under a fast paced environment.
- Ability to safely implement special procedures.
- Ability to delegate responsibility to others and assure completion of shift duties.
- Skill in developing therapeutic relationships with clients of all ages, and work as a member of a treatment team.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- CPR certification is also required.
- Must be licensed in the State of Colorado or hold a current compact license.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the coordination and supervision of the direct patient care and program implementation for residents/patients in the acute care and residential programs.
- Assesses the patients/residents needs and coordinates/implements the delivery of quality nursing care, as prescribed by the Treatment Team / Physician.
- Provides safety and crisis management for the patient populations, and assures a safe and therapeutic environment.
