About The Position

Triangle Springs is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for its Behavioral Health team. The nurse provides compassionate, patient-centered care to patients with psychiatric and substance use disorders in a supportive, collaborative environment, working with interdisciplinary teams. The role includes patient assessments, identifying needs, initiating appropriate interventions, providing care suited to each patient’s condition and age, documenting medical necessity, maintaining each patient’s Interdisciplinary Care Plan, and completing quality-improvement assessments. The schedule is three 12-hour day shifts from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., with a weekend rotation. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is available to eligible candidates.

Requirements

• Active North Carolina RN single-state license or compact license; relocating nurses must update licensure to the new Primary State of Residence before employment begins.
• Associate degree in nursing.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
• Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification within 30 days of hire.
• Strong communication, critical-thinking, and de-escalation skills.
• Ability to remain calm and effective in high-pressure situations.
• Commitment to patient-centered, compassionate care.

Nice To Haves

• One year of nursing experience.
• Behavioral Health or Psychiatric experience.

Responsibilities

• Accurately perform patient assessments and identify patient needs.
• Identify and initiate appropriate nursing interventions.
• Provide care appropriate to the patient’s condition and age.
• Complete timely and appropriate medical-record documentation relating to medical necessity.
• Complete and revise the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.
• Perform timely and accurate quality-improvement assessments.
