About The Position
FlexStaff's client is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to provide case management and compassionate nursing care in an assisted living facility in Nassau County, New York. Residents are generally stable and require skilled nursing care, allowing the nurse to focus on proactive health management, personalized care, and building long-term relationships. The role includes comprehensive assessments, individualized care planning, medication and treatment administration, resident and family education, and coordination with families, physicians, and an interdisciplinary team. The position offers a four-day workweek, flexible scheduling with weekend rotation, and consistent daytime hours of 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Requirements
- Hold an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York.
- Have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Demonstrate compassion, empathy, and a patient-centered approach.
- Communicate effectively and build rapport with residents, families, and staff.
- Proactively identify resident needs and develop solutions.
- Be skilled in clinical assessment and care plan development.
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough assessments to understand each resident's needs.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments.
- Educate residents and their families on health management and wellness.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support optimal resident outcomes.
- Advocate for residents' health and comfort.
- Coordinate with families and physicians to ensure person-centered care.
