About the Facility – West Palm Beach Veterans Affairs Medical Center (WPBVAMC) The West Palm Beach VAMC offers a full range of patient care services, as well as comprehensive medical education and residency programs and limited research. The West Palm Beach VA Medical Center provides health services to veterans throughout South Florida and the Treasure Coast at its main facility in West Palm Beach and six contractor-operated community-based outpatient clinics in Boca Raton, Delray Beach, Fort Pierce, Okeechobee, Stuart, and Vero Beach. Facility Address: 7305 North Military Trail, West Palm Beach, FL 33410 Registered Nurse - RESPONSIBILITIES (listed are included but not limited to) Includes Primary Care and Medical Sub-Specialty Clinics (Dermatology, Oncology, Podiatry, Urology, PM & R, Cardiology, Nephrology, CT/MRI, Neurology, Allergy, GYN, Infectious Disease) in West Palm Beach. All other Community-Based Outpatient Clinics are focused on Primary Care. Shall be responsible for patient assessments, medication administration, IV therapy, interdisciplinary team coordination, telemetry monitoring, admissions and discharges, internal and external transfers, delegating to assistive personnel, electronic medical records documentation, patient transport and emergency response procedures.

Requirements

  • Completed courses for nursing from an accredited program approved by either the Commission for Education in Nursing or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education.
  • A current license in at least one state, territory, or commonwealth in U.S. or the District of Columbia.
  • A minimum of three years' direct patient care experience.
  • Must have Basic Life Support certification.

Nice To Haves

  • In order to work in the oncology clinic, must have oncology and chemotherapy/infusion experience.
