Requirements

Graduate of a nursing program recognized by ACEN, CCNE, or NLN CNEA.
One year of RN experience required.
Current RN license by applicable state requirements.
BLS certification valid for 90 days post start date (AHA/Heartcode® BLS, Military Training Network, Red Cross).

Nice To Haves

Current ambulatory and/or phone triage experience preferred.

Additional state licensure(s) and/or specialty certification/training as required by the work area.

Responsibilities

Provide direct care for adult and pediatric patients in the allergy lab setting, performing skin tests, spirometry testing, allergen challenges, mixing and administering medications, and responding to patient reactions.
Provide in-clinic patient education visits on topics such as asthma action plan management, environmental allergen control measures, and medication management.
Provide indirect care and management of patients via phone and electronic medical record portal, including medication management, follow-up care, outcome management, and phone triage.
Collaborate with providers, desk operations staff, and other members of the care team.
Coordinate nursing care, including direct patient care, patient/family education, and transitions of care.
Support professional nursing practice across practice settings and the continuum of care.
Plan, implement, evaluate, and communicate all phases of nursing care for assigned patients.
Provide leadership through preceptor roles, informal and formal leadership roles, and quality improvement efforts.
Delegate patient care according to skill level, experience, patient acuity, fiscal accountability, and resource availability.
Mentor and teach patients and families.
Participate on committees or projects.
Drive personal vehicle as part of role responsibilities (subset of employees).
