About The Position

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to provide comprehensive adult patient care in a clinical setting. The RN will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individualized patient care while collaborating closely with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams. This role requires strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient-centered care.

Requirements

  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited nursing program required.
  • Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License required.
  • Primary Source Verification required.
  • Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Previous adult care nursing experience preferred.
  • Strong clinical assessment and patient care skills.
  • Experience with medication administration, IV therapy, and patient monitoring preferred.
  • Excellent critical thinking and clinical decision-making abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills.
  • Commitment to patient-centered care and service excellence.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records and clinical documentation systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Current AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred and may be required for select assignments.

Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with physicians and healthcare professionals.
  • Provide direct nursing care to adult patients, including pre-operative and post-operative care when applicable.
  • Monitor patient conditions and document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately.
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments while ensuring patient safety.
  • Prepare, administer, and document medications according to established protocols.
  • Perform clinical procedures including IV insertion, catheter placement, wound care, and dressing changes.
  • Monitor and interpret vital signs, laboratory results, and patient responses to treatment.
  • Operate and adjust specialized medical equipment as needed.
  • Identify and report adverse reactions, changes in condition, or potential complications promptly.
  • Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions.
  • Maintain compliance with infection prevention, patient safety, and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to promote optimal patient outcomes.
