About The Position

This role is for a Registered Nurse in the Adult Behavioral Health department at Ascension Via Christi St Joseph in Wichita, KS. The position is full-time and involves night shifts. The nurse will guide the recovery journey by performing comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments, lead therapeutic interventions by conducting or co-leading group therapy sessions, shape personalized care strategies by collaborating with the interdisciplinary treatment team, and empower patient progress by implementing and adjusting nursing care plans in real-time.

Requirements

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Kansas Board of Nursing required.
• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR professional licensure at time of hire required.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments that capture the full picture of a patient’s needs and strengths.
• Conduct or co-lead group therapy sessions, providing patients with the tools and community they need to heal.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary treatment team to design and refine goals that reflect the patient’s evolving status.
• Implement and adjust nursing care plans in real-time, ensuring every intervention is purposeful and responsive to the patient’s unique challenges.
