About The Position
The Louisiana Veterans Homes primarily serve Louisiana’s veteran population by providing medical, restorative, and rehabilitative services with respect and compassion. The Jackson, Louisiana Veterans Home is hiring a WAE Registered Nurse for a leadership role combining clinical care with guidance of a healthcare team. The home’s goal is to provide quality nursing care and help eligible veterans reach the highest possible levels of physical and mental capacity. This WAE appointment may not exceed 1,245 hours in a 12-month period. The pay rate is $33.91 per hour, plus $4.00 per hour in premium pay for hours physically worked. Shift differential pay may also apply, with rates varying by shift, day, and holiday schedule.
Requirements
- Possession of a current Louisiana Registered Nurse license, a temporary permit, or a multistate license issued by a Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC/eNLC) state to practice as a registered nurse.
