Under direct supervision, assists in the performance of a variety of Neurophysiology procedures that aid in the diagnosis and treatment of nerve and brain disorders. This role involves recording and identifying various Neurophysiology data, obtaining patient history, attaching electrodes, operating equipment, observing studies, analyzing wave graphs, making documentation, and adjusting settings. The technologist will care for all age groups, prepare patients for studies, complete post-study paperwork, and adhere to hospital/departmental guidelines. They will also observe Neurophysiology data, acquire new skills under direction, and participate in maintaining equipment and a clean environment.
