Requirements

• Registration or eligibility for enrolment as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
• Hold, or be eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
• Undergo employment screening.
• Meet immunisation requirements.

Responsibilities

• Deliver 24/7 accident and emergency care.
• Provide general medical and surgical care, including plastic surgery.
• Offer same-day stays and short-term care.
• Manage inpatient and outpatient services and patient transport.
• Provide obstetrics and palliative care.
• Operate day therapy centres and Meals on Wheels.
• Deliver parenting and family education programs.
• Provide personal and planned care for older people, including respite services.
• Facilitate birthing suite services with shared care arrangements.
• Conduct antenatal education, childbirth and parenting classes.
• Perform postnatal community midwifery visits.
• Provide residential aged care, including high-level care and respite options.
