About The Position
Jamestown Hospital, part of the Yorke and Northern Local Health Network, is seeking Registered and Enrolled Nurses. Jamestown is a historic regional hub known for its agricultural and emerging energy projects. The hospital operates 24 hours a day, delivering comprehensive medical, surgical, and community services, including general medical and surgical care, aged care, nurse-led clinics, palliative care, diagnostic radiology, community services, maternity and obstetrics, and residential aged care. Requirements
- Registration or eligibility for enrolment as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
- Hold, or be eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
- Undergo employment screening.
- Meet immunisation requirements.
Responsibilities
- Provide general medical and surgical care for inpatients and outpatients.
- Deliver residential aged care and personal care services.
- Offer nurse-led clinics and palliative care services.
- Provide same-day stays and planned activity groups for older people.
- Perform diagnostic radiology and general surgical procedures.
- Support community services including a community bus, day therapy centres, and Meals on Wheels.
- Provide health advocacy and liaison services.
- Support maternity and obstetrics services, including a birthing suite, childbirth and parenting education, and community midwifery and postnatal home visits.
- Provide high-level residential aged care and respite services in the Symonds Wing.
