About The Position

The Louisville Center for Eating Disorders (LCED) is seeking a part-time or contract Registered Dietitian to join its treatment team. LCED is Kentucky’s only eating disorder specialty partial hospitalization (PHP) and intensive outpatient (IOP) program, serving patients referred from across the state. The dietitian is central to patient care and works closely with therapists, a psychiatric provider, and program staff.

The role serves adolescents and adults and includes collaboration with patients’ families. At least one year of experience as a Registered Dietitian and prior eating disorder experience are preferred. Clinicians new to this specialty may receive training, including in-depth training from experienced clinicians, weekly treatment team consultation, and access to treatment manuals, workbooks, handouts, and research articles. Employees are paid hourly based on experience. Contractors must carry their own professional liability insurance. Independent practitioners are welcome to apply.

Requirements

• Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) credential through CDR.
• Kentucky Licensed Dietitian (LD), or eligibility for licensure.
• Comfort working as part of a multidisciplinary team in a program setting.
• Contractors must carry their own professional liability insurance.

Nice To Haves

• At least one year of experience as a Registered Dietitian.
• Prior eating disorder experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead nutrition groups for PHP and IOP patients.
• Complete nutrition assessments at admission and help shape each patient’s treatment plan.
• Provide individual nutrition therapy for PHP and IOP patients.
• Participate in weekly treatment team meetings.
• Work with adolescents and adults, and with their families.
• Keep accurate, timely documentation and protect patient privacy.
