Registered Dietitian, Development and Rehabilitation - Temporary Full-Time (1.0) (until September 2027)

This role offers nutrition counseling to patients and families in inpatient and outpatient settings, functioning as a member of an interdisciplinary health care team. The initial assignment is to support the Neuromuscular team and Children's Treatment Centre services within Development and Rehabilitation.
Requirements
- Vulnerable Sector Check
- Successful completion of an accredited dietetic internship
- Member of the College of Dietitians of Ontario
- Baccalaureate degree in Dietetics
- Bilingualism (French/English)
- Excellent interpersonal and teaching skills

Responsibilities
- Provides initial and follow-up nutritional counseling to patients and families.
- Plans the nutritional care for patients on therapeutic and modified diets.
- Maintains current and accurate patient diet information records.
- Provides instructions for patients and families concerning dietary aspects of treatment.
- Provides pertinent nutrition information to individuals over the telephone as required.
- Extensive teaching of families and other health care professionals including dietetic interns.
- Works collaboratively with other health care professions to ensure an integrated approach to care.
- Participates in continuous quality improvement initiatives.
- Engages in continuous learning to develop expertise in specialties.
- Participates in the hospital-wide on-call system.
