About The Position
DaVita is hiring a Registered Dietitian to serve as a vital member of each patient’s core care team in an outpatient setting. The dietitian analyzes lab-work results and educates patients and their families about appropriate nutrition. The role involves building meaningful, long-term relationships with patients and contributing to patient-centered care. The position may require flexible schedules, work across multiple facilities, and travel when needed.
Requirements
- State licensure is required if licensure is available in the state where the facility is located.
- Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a similar area.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, possibly at multiple facilities, and travel when needed.
- After hire and training, successfully complete the Competency Assessment for Renal Dietitians (CARD) with a score of at least 80%.
- Intermediate computer skills and proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Functional proficiency with DaVita-specific applications within 60 days.
Responsibilities
- Analyze patients’ lab-work results and provide nutrition education to patients and their families.
- Build meaningful and long-term relationships with patients and their families.
- Contribute to patient health through clinical goal-setting and quality improvement initiatives.
