About The Position

DaVita is hiring a Registered Dietitian to serve as a vital member of each patient’s core care team in an outpatient setting. The role involves analyzing lab-work results and educating patients and their families about appropriate nutrition. The dietitian will build meaningful, long-term relationships with patients and their families and contribute to a supportive team environment. The position also involves helping improve patient health through clinical goal-setting and quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements

State licensure is required if licensure is available in the state where the facility is located.
Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a similar area.
Ability to work flexible schedules, possibly across multiple facilities, and travel when needed.
After hire and training, successfully complete the Competency Assessment for Renal Dietitians (CARD) with a score of at least 80%.
Intermediate computer skills and proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Functional proficiency with DaVita-specific applications within 60 days.

Responsibilities

Analyze patients’ lab-work results.
Educate patients and their families about what to eat based on lab-work results.
Build meaningful, long-term relationships with patients and their families.
Contribute to clinical goal-setting and quality improvement initiatives.
