About The Position

Sodexo is seeking a Registered Dietitian for a full time hybrid position at Kalkaska Memorial Health Center located in Kalkaska, MI. This is a unique opportunity to practice in both acute care and long-term care settings. This role is flexible, with the option to work remotely on a weekly basis. Candidates interested in part time hours are also welcome to apply. This position may be eligible for a sign on bonus!

Requirements

• Be a Registered Dietitian (or RD eligible) and demonstrate a great clinical knowledge base
• Demonstrate excellent communication, leadership and customer service skills
• Be experienced with regulatory accreditation and establishing and maintaining standards of care
• Have a strong commitment to excellence in all aspects of patient care
• Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
• For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24: Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
• Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire.
• In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hire
• Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice.
• In some states and/or facilities state certification/licensure is required at the time of hire

Responsibilities

• Offer compassionate care to patients in the acute, subacute and long term care setting
• Support ongoing Performance Improvement and Quality Management projects
• Provide training and education to department staff and interdisciplinary healthcare professionals
• Collaborate with the food service operations team regarding meal provision and menu management
• Ensure DOH/State/Federal and company standards are being upheld
