Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN)
About The Position
Sodexo is seeking a Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) for a full-time inpatient position with the Capital Health System in New Jersey. This role offers the opportunity to provide coverage at one of two campuses in Pennington and/or Trenton, NJ. The position involves providing exceptional nutrition care to patients in the inpatient setting, including critical care units, and requires proficiency in the Nutrition Focused Physical Exam and Malnutrition Identification. The dietitian will work rotating weekends and holidays, providing hospital-wide coverage, and must be knowledgeable of the Nutrition Care Process. Responsibilities include efficiently and effectively organizing clinical nutrition and patient care duties.
Requirements
- Registered Dietitian credential
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills to interact with a wide variety of individuals and groups
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong time management skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with physicians, nursing and ancillary staff
- Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire.
- Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice.
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional nutrition care to patients in the inpatient setting, including critical care units.
- Be well versed in the Nutrition Focused Physical Exam and Malnutrition Identification.
- Work rotating weekends and holidays providing hospital-wide coverage.
- Be knowledgeable of the Nutrition Care Process.
- Efficiently and effectively organize clinical nutrition and patient care responsibilities.
