About The Position
AMG Physical Rehabilitation Hospital – Lafayette is seeking a PRN Dietitian to advise and counsel inpatients on food and nutrition. The Dietitian assesses dietary needs, plans therapeutic diets based on patients’ current health concerns, and analyzes the effects of interventions. The role collaborates with physicians, nursing staff, and therapists to improve patient outcomes. The Dietitian oversees and implements the preparation and service of patient meals, supervises dietary staff and their performance, and ensures the dietary department complies with company guidelines and applicable state, federal, and other governing-body laws and regulations. The role also ensures patients consistently receive diets as ordered and that meal times and temperatures meet guidelines.
Requirements
- Current dietitian licensure in the state of practice.
- Complete the minimum required continuing education hours each year to sustain credentials.
- Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
- Basic computer knowledge.
