About The Position

DaVita is hiring a Registered Dietitian to serve as a vital member of each patient’s core care team in an outpatient clinic. The dietitian will analyze lab results and educate patients and their families about appropriate nutrition. The role focuses on patient-centered care, building personal relationships, and helping patients improve their health and quality of life. The position is scheduled Monday through Friday and may require flexible schedules, work across multiple facilities, and travel when needed. After hire and training, the dietitian must successfully complete the Competency Assessment for Renal Dietitians (CARD) with a score of at least 80%.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a similar area required.
State licensure required if licensure is available in the state where the facility is located.
Ability to work flexible schedules, possibly for multiple facilities, and travel when needed.
After hire and training, successful completion of the Competency Assessment for Renal Dietitians (CARD) with a score of at least 80% required.
Intermediate computer skills and proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook required.
Functional proficiency with DaVita-specific applications within 60 days required.

Nice To Haves

Two to five years of experience as a Registered Dietitian preferred.
Experience in dialysis, including In-Center Hemodialysis (ICHD), preferred.

Responsibilities

Analyze patients’ laboratory results.
Educate patients and their families about appropriate nutrition based on lab results.
Build meaningful, long-term relationships with patients and their families.
Contribute to patient health through clinical goal-setting and quality improvement initiatives.
Work flexible schedules, potentially across multiple facilities, and travel when needed.
Complete the Competency Assessment for Renal Dietitians (CARD) after hire and training, achieving a score of at least 80%.
