About The Position

DiningRD is actively seeking a Registered Dietitian for skilled nursing facilities. The consultant would be responsible for monthly onsite visits (24 hours/month) to complete food safety and sanitation audits, meal/dining observation audits, and address any nutrition referrals for high-risk residents. This position offers competitive pay depending on experience and current needs.

Requirements

Commission on dietetic registration (CDR) credentials
Licensed (if required by State)
CDR # from ASCEND/Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (Required)
State License, if required for a Registered Dietitian (Required)
Ability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks
Solid interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to represent the company in a professional manner
Enjoy coaching and mentoring others
2 years of clinical nutrition experience (Preferred)

Nice To Haves

2 years of consulting experience is preferred
Experience in Long Term Care preferred but not required

Responsibilities

Complete monthly onsite visits (24 hours/month) to complete food safety and sanitation audits.
Conduct meal/dining observation audits.
Address nutrition referrals for high-risk residents.
Monitor the nutritional needs of residents in collaboration with the clinical team.
Provide nutrition education.
Work on MDS with the team.
Formulate nutrition assessments with input from the dining manager.
Provide guidance on all dining services, including meal rounds and sanitation best practices.
Ensure regulatory compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
Train and provide guidance to dining managers and staff.
Assist with policy development.
Monitor the implementation of effective nutritional care systems.
