About The Position

DiningRD is seeking a Registered Dietitian (RD) for skilled care communities and assisted living facilities. This position can be filled by one or more RDs, with hours varying based on availability and travel. The role involves improving the lives of seniors by ensuring their meals meet high nutritional standards, working closely with the clinical team to monitor resident nutritional needs, providing nutrition education, working on MDS with the team, and formulating nutrition assessments. The RD will provide guidance on dining services, including meal rounds, sanitation best practices, and ensuring regulatory compliance. They will also train and guide dining managers and staff, assist with policy development, and monitor the implementation of effective nutritional care systems.

Requirements

  • Commission on dietetic registration (CDR) credentials
  • Licensed (if required by State)
  • CDR # from ASCEND/Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (Required)
  • State License, if required for a Registered Dietitian (Required)
  • Ability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Solid interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to represent the company in a professional manner.
  • Enjoy coaching and mentoring others.

Nice To Haves

  • 2 years of consulting experience is preferred.
  • Experience in Long Term Care preferred but not required.
  • clinical nutrition: 2 years (Preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Complete onsite visits Monday-Friday during regular business hours.
  • Improve the lives of seniors by ensuring their meals meet high nutritional standards.
  • Work closely with the clinical team to monitor the nutritional needs of the residents.
  • Provide nutrition education.
  • Work on an MDS with the team.
  • Formulate nutrition assessments with input from the dining manager.
  • Provide guidance on all dining services, including meal rounds and sanitation best practices.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Share dietary expertise by training and providing guidance to dining managers and staff.
  • Assist with policy development.
  • Monitor the implementation of effective nutritional care systems.
