About The Position

DiningRD is actively seeking a Registered Dietitian for an Assisted Living Community. The consultant would be responsible for 4 hours per week, with one visit per month on-site and the remaining hours completed remotely. Responsibilities include completing food safety and sanitation audits, meal/dining observation audits, and addressing nutrition referrals for high-risk residents. This position offers competitive pay based on experience and current needs.

Requirements

Commission on dietetic registration (CDR) credentials.
Licensed (if required by State).
CDR # from ASCEND/Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (Required).
State License, if required for a Registered Dietitian (Required).
Ability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks.
Solid interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to represent the company in a professional manner.
Enjoy coaching and mentoring others.

Nice To Haves

2 years of consulting experience is preferred.
Experience in Long Term Care preferred but not required.
Clinical nutrition: 2 years (Preferred).

Responsibilities

Complete food safety and sanitation audits.
Conduct meal/dining observation audits.
Address nutrition referrals for high-risk residents.
Provide nutrition education.
Work on MDS with the clinical team.
Formulate nutrition assessments with input from the dining manager.
Provide guidance on all dining services, including meal rounds and sanitation best practices.
Ensure regulatory compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
Train and provide guidance to dining managers and staff.
Assist with policy development.
Monitor the implementation of effective nutritional care systems.
