About The Position
This is a travel Registered Dietitian (Clinical) assignment in Delano, California. The contract is for 20 weeks with 40 hours per week on day shifts (8-hour days). The role is in an inpatient clinical nutrition program within an acute-care setting, focusing on comprehensive nutrition care, assessment, education, and collaboration with the care team.
Requirements
- Active Registered Dietitian license or eligibility in California
- Ability to work in an inpatient clinical nutrition program
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Knowledge of nutrition assessment, care plan development, and interdisciplinary collaboration
- Bachelor’s degree in nutrition, dietetics, or related field (or equivalent education) and related clinical preparation as applicable
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nutritional care to patients identified with nutritional risk or special needs
- Conduct patient assessment and reassessment to guide care planning
- Deliver patient and family education on nutrition and dietary plans
- Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary team members and document all interventions per policy
- Develop, implement, and document the nutrition care plan and monitor outcomes
- Maintain clinical documentation in accordance with acceptable practice standards and facility policies
