About The Position

This is a 13-week travel assignment for a Registered Dietitian (Clinical) in Bakersfield, California, within a hospital setting. Requirements

Active Registered Dietitian license in California
Registered Dietitian credential (RD) in good standing
Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or a related field from an ACEND-accredited program
Completion of a supervised practice program and eligibility to sit for or passage of the RD exam
Ability to work in a hospital setting, communicate clearly, and manage a patient caseload

Nice To Haves

Clinical experience in hospital or acute care nutrition support is preferred

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nutritional care to patients identified with special needs and/or nutritional risk criteria
Conduct patient nutrition assessments and reassessments; develop and modify the plan of care
Educate patients and families about nutrition and nutrition-related care plans
Document all interventions in the medical record in accordance with policy and standards
Communicate effectively with an interdisciplinary care team to coordinate nutrition services
Deliver clinical care with appropriate technical and decision-making skills
