About The Position

Shriners Children’s is seeking a highly motivated Clinical Registered Dietitian with a passion for helping the pediatric population to work in their Nutritional Services Department. The Clinical Dietitian provides clinical nutrition services and care to pediatric patients with a variety of diagnoses and acuity, and counsels/educates patients and their families on specific diets and normal nutrition.

Requirements

• Registered Dietitian
• Dietitian license in state of practice
• 1 year Clinical Dietitian in health-care setting

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's in Nutrition
• Pediatric experience

Responsibilities

• Performs comprehensive nutritional assessments of assigned pediatric patients with a variety of diagnoses and acuity levels.
• Develops a nutritional care plan based on the findings of the Nutritional Screen and/or Assessment.
• Monitors/reassesses hospital patients
• Supervises the work of the Dietary Clerks, and Volunteers.
• Assists with planning the patients’ cycle menu to promote healthy choices as defined by the U.S. Dietary Guidelines.
• Maintains inventory of clinical supplies required to provide services.
• Consults with the Manager as specified.
