About The Position

Smile Fitness Dental Center is looking for a full-time Registered Dental Hygienist to join our established Phoenix practice. This is a four-day-per-week position, Monday through Thursday, in a PPO and fee-for-service environment. We’re looking for a hygienist who values patient education, preventative care, and building long-term relationships with patients while working collaboratively with the doctor and clinical team.

Requirements

• Active Arizona Dental Hygienist license in good standing
• Strong periodontal assessment and clinical hygiene skills
• Comfortable educating patients and discussing recommended care
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Dependable and comfortable working as part of a collaborative team
• Commitment to providing a positive patient experience
• Active Dental Hygiene License in New York
• Local Anesthesia Certification (if applicable by state)
• Current CPR/BLS Certification
• Strong communication and patient education skills
• Commitment to quality patient care
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment

Nice To Haves

• Laser Certification
• Experience with assisted hygiene models
• Experience in PPO, Fee-for-Service, and/or Medicaid environments
• Experience with periodontal therapy
• Experience with patient education and treatment acceptance
• Bilingual skills

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive preventative and periodontal hygiene care
• Perform prophylaxis, periodontal maintenance, and scaling and root planing
• Complete periodontal charting and assess patients' periodontal health
• Take diagnostic radiographs as needed
• Educate patients on oral health, home care, and recommended treatment
• Identify areas of concern and communicate findings with the doctor
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Support an efficient, patient-focused clinical environment
• Collaborate closely with doctors, dental assistants, and the front office team
