About The Position
At Cosmetic Dentistry of Hayward, we provide personalized, comprehensive dental care in a patient-first environment. Our practice utilizes modern technology and offer a wide array of services-ranging from preventive and general dentistry to cosmetic treatments, periodontal care, implants, and oral surgery-all under one roof. We are seeking a reliable, skilled, and compassionate Dental Assistant / Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to join our team. In this role, you will work alongside our dentists and specialists to deliver high-quality patient care, streamline chairside procedures, and ensure an exceptional patient experience.
Requirements
- Valid California RDA license or Dental Assisting certificate (RDA preferred).
- Current California Radiation Safety (X-ray) certification and active BLS/CPR certification.
- Proficiency with digital dental software, digital X-rays, and standard clinical charting.
- Excellent communication, strong attention to detail, a positive attitude, and a strong commitment to patient care.
Nice To Haves
- Previous clinical experience in a dental practice preferred; knowledge of general dentistry, restorative, and surgical assisting is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during a wide range of procedures including general exams, restorations, cosmetic treatments, periodontal therapy, and surgical procedures.
- Greet patients, review health histories, prepare treatment rooms, and ensure patient comfort before, during, and after procedures.
- Take high-quality, clear diagnostic dental X-rays as ordered by the doctor.
- Clean, sterilize, and organize dental instruments and equipment in strict compliance with standard health and safety guidelines.
- Accurately update patient records, record treatment notes, and assist with lab case tracking and equipment maintenance.
- Post-procedure care instructions and oral hygiene guidance to patients clearly and empathetically.
