About The Position
This is a full-time Registered Nurse position in the Observation Unit, a fast-paced, high-volume department. The role involves providing safe patient care, responding to patient needs, and supporting leadership as a charge nurse. The department is known for its modern facility, high-tech equipment, and a supportive team environment with excellent critical thinking skills.
Requirements
- 1 Year Experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care setting is required
- RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire Required
- BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Required
- A high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.
Nice To Haves
- Associate's Degree Nursing Preferred
- 2 Years Experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care setting is preferred
Responsibilities
- Focus on responding to others priorities regarding safety, physical and psychological needs while paying close attention to maintenance of comfort and human emotion during health and illness, while providing safe patient care.
- Support and actively participate in shared governance/councils which is THR’s structure for decision making.
- Directly assist leadership on a particular unit or units and shift, by offering staff guidance and support.
