About The Position

This role is within the Labor and Delivery department and is responsible for administering and directing appropriate nursing interventions as prescribed by a qualified physician or mid-level practitioner. The position also involves effective communication, accurate documentation, and upholding professional behavior in accordance with the Nursing Code of Ethics and the CHS philosophy of service.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse - Licensure-Others
- Relevant Work Experience
- 1 year experience
- Graduate of an approved discipline specific program: Nursing (Required)
- Leadership experience required
Nice To Haves
- 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience strongly preferred
Responsibilities
- Performing the initial nursing assessment, communicating findings with the assigned physician or mid-level
- Assessing the wound stage and measurements, documenting care plans, evaluating the patient status in regards to desired outcomes
- Identifying patient care situations that require intervention
- Participates in quality improvement initiatives
- Providing education to the patient and/or caregiver
- Serving as patient advocate in the delivery and coordination of care
- Collaborates as needed with other healthcare provides, Wound Care Center Providers, the Program Director and Medical Director regarding patient needs
- Performs other duties as required
