About The Position

Alpaca Health is seeking a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) / Student Analyst (BCBA Trainee) to work one-on-one with children with autism in their homes, classrooms, and communities. The technician follows individualized plans developed by a BCBA, implements behavior strategies, collects data, and builds consistent relationships that support children’s growth. A dedicated BCBA provides mentorship and ongoing support. The role is intended for people studying to become a BCBA or graduate students in psychology or social work, and offers support for career growth toward BCBA certification. The position is in person and may be full-time or part-time, with some flexibility across mornings, afternoons, and evenings to meet client needs.

Requirements

Currently enrolled in school to become a BCBA or currently a graduate student in psychology or social work.
Genuinely enjoy working with children, especially children who need extra patience and creativity.
Have reliable availability across mornings, afternoons, or evenings to provide consistency for clients.
Have reliable transportation to reach client homes and schools.
Be able to get on the floor, move around, and remain physically active; able to lift approximately 50 pounds.
Be at least 18 years old.
Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Be able to pass a background check.

Nice To Haves

Experience in education, childcare, psychology, social work, or another role working with children.
