About The Position
At Gateway Autism Therapies and Education, we are committed to delivering compassionate, evidence-based care to children and adolescents with autism. We are currently seeking dedicated Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) to join our growing team. As a Registered Behavior Technician, you will work under the ongoing supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to directly implement individualized behavior-analytic services. You will provide pediatric behavioral therapy to clients, support skill development, and reduce challenging behaviors using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) strategies. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about helping children thrive and who can demonstrate strong professionalism, consistency, and communication. Not an RBT yet? We can help! Qualified candidates who are not currently certified may be eligible to enroll in our GATE RBT Learning Pathway, which provides access to the required 40-hour RBT training, guidance through the certification process, BCBA support for the competency assessment, and resources to help prepare for the RBT exam.
Requirements
- Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification (or ability to complete certification prior to start date)
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Organized, dependable, and passionate about supporting children with autism
- Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism, patience, and empathy
- Must pass background checks and meet health and safety requirements
Nice To Haves
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Education, or related field preferred
- Experience working with children, especially in behavioral or therapeutic settings, preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide direct ABA therapy to children and adolescents with autism and behavioral challenges
- Implement treatment plans and behavior intervention plans (BIPs) as developed by the supervising BCBA
- Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance clinical knowledge and maintain competency
- Attend regular supervision and training meetings with your BCBA
- Collect and maintain accurate, high-quality data and documentation for all client sessions
- Uphold the exemplary standards of care and ethics established by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB)
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, caregivers, and other professionals involved in the client’s care
- Manage a dynamic and complex schedule, demonstrating punctuality and strong time management
