About The Position

At Behavioral Health Allies Early Intervention (BHA EI), Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) are essential frontline team members dedicated to empowering young children and families through compassionate, evidence-based early intervention services. BHA EI RBTs provide individualized, play-based, and developmentally appropriate Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services to children with autism spectrum disorder and related developmental disabilities under the supervision of a BCBA/BCaBA. Through implementation of individualized treatment plans, RBTs support communication, social-emotional development, adaptive skills, independence, emotional regulation, and school readiness. RBTs play a critical role in creating structured, safe, engaging, and therapeutic environments where children can learn and grow. They partner closely with families, clinical supervisors, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure consistency, carryover, and positive outcomes across clinic, home, school, and community settings. This is a safety-sensitive position. Employees must be able to safely perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation, including maintaining continuous supervision of children, implementing crisis prevention and intervention strategies, responding to behavioral escalation, and assisting children with activities of daily living as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification required.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office, electronic data collection systems, and documentation platforms.

Nice To Haves

• Associate’s degree, bachelor’s degree, or coursework in psychology, education, behavior analysis, child development, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 6 months of experience working with children preferred.
• Experience supporting children with autism spectrum disorder, developmental disabilities, or behavioral needs preferred.
• Experience within an early intervention, clinic, educational, or pediatric setting preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Organizational and time management proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Implement individualized treatment plans and behavior intervention plans as designed by the BCBA.
• Maintain structured, organized, safe, and developmentally appropriate therapy environments.
• Support consistent implementation of reinforcement systems, prompting procedures, behavior strategies, and daily routines.
• Ensure continuous supervision and active engagement with assigned children throughout all therapy sessions and transitions.
• Follow all safety procedures, crisis prevention strategies, and organizational protocols.
• Maintain professionalism, ethical conduct, confidentiality, and respect in all interactions.
• Implement treatment plans and clinical programming with fidelity and consistency.
• Complete all required session documentation, data collection, and daily notes accurately and within required timelines.
• Communicate openly and professionally with supervisors, coworkers, and families.
• Participate actively in team meetings, supervision sessions, trainings, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Accept feedback positively and implement coaching recommendations to improve clinical performance.

• Assist with preparation and organization of therapy materials and clinical resources.
• Implement programming consistently across therapy sessions and environments.
• Maintain dependable communication and follow-through with supervisors, families, and team members.
• Ensure therapy sessions are implemented according to clinical expectations and organizational standards.
• Support treatment fidelity through accurate implementation of programming and behavior plans.
• Maintain reliability in attendance, scheduling, and completion of assigned responsibilities.
• Support children in developing foundational skills needed for long-term success in less restrictive and natural environments.
• Promote generalization of skills across clinic, home, school, and community settings.
• Assist children in increasing independence, communication, adaptive functioning, and school readiness skills.
• Collaborate with caregivers and clinical teams to support meaningful developmental progress.
• Encourage independence and participation in daily routines and social opportunities.
• Advocate for the needs, dignity, and developmental progress of every child served.
• Promote inclusion, respect, and individualized support in all interactions.
• Assist families and team members in understanding and implementing therapeutic strategies.
• Maintain person-centered and family-centered approaches in all service delivery.
• Support organizational initiatives that improve outcomes for children and families.
• Perform other duties and special projects to support Early Intervention and organizational initiatives as assigned.
• Participate in required meetings, trainings, supervision, and collaboration opportunities.
• Maintain required certifications and professional training requirements.
• Assist with clinic organization, cleaning, and preparation activities.
• Participate in crisis response and de-escalation support as needed.
