About The Position

AWARE is seeking a Registered Behavior Technician to provide behavior-analytic support to adults, children, and families in the Great Falls community. The role supports clients in becoming active members of their community and in pursuing personal growth. The technician implements treatment plan goals and interventions, promotes safe and socially appropriate replacement behaviors, collects behavior data, and collaborates with families and treatment team members. The role also includes explaining ABA-based interventions and the RBT’s role to others while staying within the boundaries of the RBT position.

Requirements

High school diploma or HSE.
Valid Montana driver’s license or ability to obtain one, and an acceptable driving record.
Acceptable criminal and protective services background check.
Interpersonal oral and written communication skills to work as a team member, make and accurately report observations, learn behavioral and clinical methods, follow oral and written instructions, and facilitate meetings.

Responsibilities

Prompt safe and socially acceptable replacement behaviors to build communication, social interaction, and problem-solving skills.
Increase the frequency or duration of safe and appropriate replacement behaviors by providing access to reinforcers, such as desired items or actions, attention, or removal of demands or aversive situations.
Accurately collect behavior data, including A-B-C, count, frequency, duration, latency, event, and interval-based recordings.
Follow treatment plan goals and interventions, use sound judgment, and seek appropriate consultation.
Collaborate with family and treatment team members to provide treatment effectively and without disrupting the environment or others.
Educate people involved in care about ABA-based interventions and the RBT role, and provide treatment within the boundaries of that role.
