Spanish Speaking Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)
About The Position
Centria is seeking enthusiastic, Spanish-speaking Behavior Technicians to work one-on-one with children with autism. The role involves implementing individualized behavior intervention plans under the guidance of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), using evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing interfering behaviors. Comprehensive training is provided, including for candidates without prior experience. The work can involve unpredictable or potentially confrontational situations and requires substantial movement and physical activity. The position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children and their families.
Requirements
- Passion for helping children with autism.
- Patience, compassion, and ability to work well in a team.
- At least 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to obtain CPR and First Aid certifications and a tuberculosis test if one has not been completed within the last year.
- Ability to pass a preemployment background check.
- Ability to move in various positions, including sitting, squatting, and bending.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Registered Behavior Technician Certification required within 45 days of completing onboarding requirements.
- Bilingual in Spanish.
