About The Position

AWARE is seeking a Registered Behavior Technician to provide ABA-based support to adults, children, and families in the community. The role supports clients in becoming active members of their communities while working toward personal growth. The technician follows treatment plans, promotes safe and appropriate replacement behaviors, records behavioral data, and collaborates with families and treatment team members. The role also involves explaining ABA interventions and the RBT’s role while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries.

Requirements

High school diploma or HSE.
Interpersonal oral and written communication skills to work as a team member, make and accurately report observations, learn behavioral and clinical methods, follow oral and written instructions, and facilitate meetings.
A valid Montana driver’s license or the ability to obtain one, and an acceptable driving record.
An acceptable criminal and protective services background check.

Responsibilities

Prompt safe and socially acceptable replacement behaviors to develop communication, social interaction, and problem-solving skills.
Increase safe and appropriate replacement behaviors by providing access to reinforcers, including desired items or actions, attention, or removal of demands or aversive situations.
Accurately collect behavior data, including A-B-C, count, frequency, duration, latency, event, and interval-based recordings.
Follow treatment plan goals and interventions, use sound judgment, and seek appropriate consultation.
Collaborate with family and treatment team members to provide treatment effectively and without disrupting the environment or others.
Educate people involved in treatment about ABA-based interventions and the RBT role, and work within the boundaries of that role.
