About The Position

Centria is seeking enthusiastic Behavior Technicians to work one-on-one with children with autism. The role involves implementing individualized behavior intervention plans under the guidance of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), using evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills and reduce interfering behaviors. Comprehensive training is provided, including for candidates without prior experience. Children may be unpredictable and potentially confrontational, and the work involves frequent physical activity. The position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children and their families.

Requirements

• Passion for helping children with autism.
• Patience, compassion, and ability to work well in a team.
• At least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to obtain CPR and First Aid certification.
• Ability to obtain a tuberculosis test if one has not been completed within the last year.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check.
• Ability to move in various positions, including sitting, squatting, and bending.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Registered Behavior Technician certification required within 45 days of completing onboarding requirements.
