The Behavior Technician position is a paraprofessional role that assists in delivering behavior analytic services for Residents at the Regional Centers. This role involves implementing programs directly with Residents, training data collection systems, and implementing behavioral interventions for Direct Support Professionals. The position promotes active treatment by implementing skill acquisition programs and recommending changes to benefit residents. The Behavior Technician responds to medical and behavioral emergencies and works within a 24-hour treatment service environment that complies with State and Federal regulations. The Wheat Ridge Regional Center serves individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities, some of whom have high medical needs or require significant support for behavioral and mental health needs.
