This position exists to provide specialized support that meets the safety, behavioral, health, and residential needs of individuals with intellectual disabilities, co-occurring mental health diagnosis, as well as complex safety and behavioral needs, who live in ICF-IID group homes. This position will assist in safety and security, crisis intervention emergencies; milieu management; behavioral intervention; physical intervention; implementing the Individual Program Plan; and providing direct supervision and support. This position evaluates and ensures the physical safety and security of the persons served at the Wheat Ridge Regional Center, its staff members, and the community. The position also assists in providing training to other staff, in order to teach them to provide a safe and secure environment. This position works in the homes to provide aggressive, consistent, and specialized implementation of a 24-hour, individualized plan designed to help individuals achieve safe behavior, maximum independence and prevent functional regression through training, services, and skill building. This position provides interventions compliant with federal and state licensing requirements and facility policies and procedures.
